Information
Zuzana is managing associate with previous experience at a leading Czech law firm and in the legal department of a major international company. She provides comprehensive legal advice to both Czech and international clients at all stages of litigation, on intellectual property matters, and on issues relating to contract law and information technology law. She has been involved in representing clients in dozens of complex cases. In her practice at the law firm, Zuzana specialises in representing corporations in unfair competition disputes, intellectual property disputes and disputes concerning the protection of reputation. In addition, she specialises in contractual relationships, including information technology law, where she has experience in drafting various types of contracts. As part of her practice, she assists clients in the field of intellectual property law, particularly with the registration of trade marks and industrial designs with the Industrial Property Office (IPO), the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO). She represents clients in the subsequent protection of their rights through customs authorities and the courts. She has extensive experience with internal market measures, border measures and the subsequent seizure of counterfeit goods. She has also represented clients in disputes concerning infringements of trademark, design and patent rights, including proceedings for interim measures. She holds EUIPO certificates and is listed by the Industrial Property Office (ÚPV) for the provision of subsidised IP Scan and IP Enforcement Scan services. Last but not least, Zuzana provides advice in the areas of civil, commercial and employment law. She studied general law at the Faculty of Law of Charles University and completed a six-month study programme at the Faculty of Law of Radboud University in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. She later studied intellectual property law at Technische Universität Dresden and obtained an LL.M. in as part of the International Studies in Intellectual Property Law programme.
