Detailed Profile

Information

After completing his master’s degree at the Faculty of Law of Masaryk University in Brno and completing his compulsory military service, Jakub undertook further legal studies at the University of Cologne, where he specialised in civil, contract and constitutional law. Upon his return to the Czech Republic, he worked as a trainee solicitor at his parents’ law firm in Brno, where he focused primarily on civil and commercial law, particularly contracts, company and cooperative law, and litigation. After passing his bar exams, he continued practising in Brno as an independent solicitor specialising in civil and commercial law, planning permission proceedings and administrative litigation. He has also represented clients before the Constitutional Court, the Supreme Court and the Supreme Administrative Court, and, in cooperation with the law firm Loh von Hülsen Michael (Berlin), has arranged legal representation before foreign courts. He is also a member of the cross-border legal network IRZ. Before joining the law firm Solkind, he worked for many years as Director of the Legal Services Department at the South Bohemian branch of the Office for Government Representation in Property Affairs, where he specialised in disputes concerning liability for damage caused by the exercise of public authority.
